The Covered Bridge Festival

We are all set up and ready for the show this weekend at the Covered Bridge Festival at Mingo Park in Washington PA.   We are back at Ebenezer Bridge after taking a year off, and we were able to get our old spot back!!  We have the walls jammed packed with new items.  We are just hoping the rain holds off for the most part!  The show is the 21st and 22nd, from 10 to 5.  Here is the link for more information.  The Covered Bridge Festival

I will post pictures soon, but for now here is another window frame I put together for the show.  I made the sign and added a shelf and pip berries along with a rusty star.

Come see what else we have!!

More show sneak peaks!

As promised I wanted to show a few more things I have for our up coming show.  This first pic is of some Annies I made up.  I had done an Annie for my Christmas show last year and she sold right away.  I found the perfect patterns from a very sweet lady, Sandy Schmidt, from The Olde Country Cupboard.  She is an amazing artist.  Her patterns and dolls are beautiful.   She is going through some very serious health problems right now so I'm sure you can see why these Annies are so special to me right now.
The next pics are some more of my cabinet doors that I have painted, and crackled and antiqued.  I really love how they turned out.
I think I'm finally making some progress on my inventory, I have packed up most of my things and have them priced, but my to do list is still pretty long!!  The show is the weekend of September 21, 22nd, at the Mingo Covered Bridge Festival in Washington, Pa.  We are set up at the Ebenezer Bridge.  I'm not sure of our exact location just yet.  They usually send out a paper with our location a week before, so I will let you know!  Hope to see you there!!

Getting ready for the show

I have been working on lots of new goodies for the Covered Bridge Festival this year.  We missed it last year, so it will be great to be back with some new items.

This is a new item I made.  I had a ton of cutting boards so I used them as my base and the cut out little plaques and painted them with seasonal pictures based on Plum Purdy designs.  You get 6 plaques and the cutting board.  I am limited right now as I  only have about 8 done but I'm working my fingers away to get more ready!!!

The show is in Washington, PA at the Mingo Park on September 21 and 22nd.
Stop out to see us!   I have a bunch of painted cabinet doors again and some new fabric goodies. I will try to post more sneak peaks over the next couple weeks.

Thanks for stopping by!!
Have a great holiday weekend

What To Do Next?!

I have been working on several different projects at one time.  I started sewing and realized I needed to order some supplies so I put that aside while I wait for them to be delivered.  So I figured I would start painting some of my projects.  I painted some doors and have some old barn wood drying and being prepped.   I usually do this jumping around all summer long then a month or so before the show I start completing my projects to see what I have....and then panic usually sets in!   I think I'm ahead of things this year though.  Here are some more pics of things my sister in law got for me to paint.   The little chair will be fun to paint, so many ideas!  The next pic is of an old tray.

These little guys are snowmen that I'm working on.  Some still need hats and they all need to be stained, etc.  They are great sellers for me.

Then this is a pic of one of the cabinet doors I painted.  I actually made this wreath and it's hanging on my front door.  I loved it so much I had to make a painting of it!

This is just a small sample of what I'm in the middle of!  More pics to come!
Have a great day, and thanks for visiting!

Pickin' n paintin'

I have so many ideas swirling around in my head!  My SIL went picking last weekend and she hit the jackpot for me!  Thanks Deb!! She sent me pictures of tons of treasures for me to paint, so now I just need to figure out what painting will go on each one!  It was perfect timing too, my scroll saw is just about to quit.  It's been acting up for awhile, and making weird noises.  I just put my earbuds in and turn up the ipod!   Don't tell my hubby!!

This first pic is of the box of cutting boards she found!  I am so excited to get started on these!
This pic has a few little treasures, I especially love the recipe box and basket.
Look at the adorable sleds!

All of these things will be painted up and ready to sell at my craft shows this year.  There is a lot more that she bought, I will post more pics soon.   It will be great to have so many new things!  I will also have the painted cabinet doors this year.  I was worried because my supplier packed up and moved! They didn't even call to tell me!! ha!  After complaining to anyone that would listen, my hairstylist hooked me up!  She told me about a place that may have some and sure enough,  they had some for me.  Thanks Carla!  Well back to the basement to cut some wood to paint while I wait for all my goodies!  Now where did I put that ipod??!!

Painting away!

What a busy time!  I finally got caught up with my wholesale orders and I started in on my show inventory.  I have been doing so much sewing lately, it was nice to hit the wood shop again!  I picked a rainy day and went downstairs to the wood shop and just started cutting.  I got a couple things cut and a storm knocked out the power!  I got everything painted and now I need to head back downstairs and cut some more.  I missed my paint brushes!  I cut some of my "I'm Stuffed Turkey"  It's my own pattern and then I cut some of my scarecrows that are made from a Plum Purdy design.

I'm working on more of my own patterns, so I will hopefully be posting those soon!
Have a good week!

New Projects

Happy Spring, although it still doesn't feel like it here inWestern Pa.  In the meantime, I've been working on some new projects.  I have been selling them on my wholesale site and I still need to update my website.  I think it's a lot easier(quicker) to update my blog instead!  If you ever see anything you are interested in that I post on my blog, and not on my website yet, send me an email.  This first pic is from a pattern by Susan Dean.  I love how it turned out, so I have been making a lot of them for my shows.

The next picture is of the sunflowers I have been making.  I have been making them for awhile now and selling them in baskets at my shows. Plus I sell just the single flowers.  I changed them up a bit just by using some yellow fabric and then using burlap for the center.

Back to work!  Have a great week!!

Back to craftin!

Hi!   I took some time off over the holidays and I'm ready to get back to work.  It was a busy year last year since I started selling wholesale to some shops.  It took off better than I had expected!   It was great to get immediate feedback from my customers.  I usually have to wait until my shows at the end of the year to hear and see if something is a big seller.   I made some bunnies which is a nice change since I usually start making snowmen from May thru December!!
This bunny is my take on a pattern by The Craftaholic Creations.

I've also been having a horrible time with my internet service!  I live way out in the "boonies" so the only way we can get internet service is with MiFi, since we can't get cable here.  Unfortunately it has decided to not work especially when I want to work on my blog or website!  I came close to throwing all electronics out the window this morning but decided the hubby wouldn't be very happy when he came home!  I was able to get it up and running long enough to get this posted.  My cat and dog are thinking I lost my mind since I run back and forth from my desk to the window where the MiFi is sitting.  Do you remember the days of holding the antenna above your tv to get a good picture, that is basically what I have to do!

I am hoping to get more items posted soon (as long as the internet is working and I stand on 1 leg)!! Ha!
Have a good week!
