Turkey Time!

Hi!  I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week.  We spend so much time getting ready for shows and as soon as they are over the holidays just fly by!  This little guy was a great seller at my show this year!  He took a little more time to put together, but it was worth it.  He is a pattern from Hill Kountry Kreations.  He smells so good, his feathers are covered with cinnamon!

I'm busy working on some things for my wholesale site, and trying to get a few things done ahead of time for next years shows.

I am also working on some new patterns.  I made a large Raggedy Ann that held a gingerbread cookie and she sold right away, so I have a few more Annies ready to make.  I will post pictures as I get my new goodies finished!

Have a great day!

Show 2012

Hi!  I finally finished my last show for the year, but I'm still working on orders for my wholesale site.  The show was a huge success.  Sales were up and so many people stopped by the booth to say hello.  We missed our one show we do this year at the Covered Bridge Festival, so we were able to catch up with some of our customers at this show.  Thank you to everyone that stopped by!
The first two pics are of our booth.  I share a booth with my parents.

This is a picture of a Santa wreath I made.  He was the first item to sell!
This is a painting I made on a cabinet door.  All of my cabinet door painting flew out of the booth!  People loved them!  I need to paint a ton of these for my shows next year.
Thanks for stopping by!!!

Fall Time!

Hi!
This is my favorite season coming up!   I've been so busy with my wholesale group, which is great but I haven't had much time to keep up with my blog.  A special thank you to all my customers!  The sales have been more than I ever expected!   I have a lot of new items I have been working on in between orders.  I am also getting ready for our show, and working on some new patterns.  A lot to do, but the days seem to go by too fast!  This pic is of my newest creation.  I have "Boo Boo" written on his tag, but I'm still tossing some different names around.   I will be posting him on my wholesale site, and website soon!

Have a great day!

New Projects, and WIP

Hi, It's been forever since I posted last, sorry about that!  I joined an online wholesale group and have been busy.   I finally got caught up on my orders and I am working on some things for the shows now.   I found a great pattern by The Olde Country Cupboard for these angels.  I'm thinking about changing the apron by putting little sayings or something on them.  I'm still working on it!

Next is a fabric santa head.  I just love how he turned out so I will be making lots of him. .
I've been making tons of sunflowers so I will have a big selection for the shows.  These sell so well for me.  I sell them as picks or bowl fillers and for the shows I put them in baskets. Here is a pic of them part way done.
Well back to work!!  Have a great, productive week!

More Paintings To Share

Hi!  We are enjoying some beautiful weather here, I am ready to open all the windows and let the fresh air in!

I have been painting the cabinet doors I picked up a few weeks back.  I am still having trouble deciding what to paint on each one, but I'm happy with the ones I've finished so far!
The first two are from a tutorial by an amazing artist, Cathy Strate from Tolentreasures  She has some beautiful paintings on her site and she has some great tutorials that she shares for free!  Thanks again Cathy!
The others are all just a mix of different techniques.  I only do fall shows so that is mostly what I paint.
The picture of the pumpkin with crows is a painting based on a design by Terrye French/Deb Antonick.
Thanks for stopping by!

Old Painted Treasures

Hi There!  I have been busy, busy busy.  My Sister In Law sent me a box full of old treasures she found while "pickin".  Here are just a couple items I have done, so I will be posting as I get them done.   I have rolling pins, and a couple more coffee pots to paint.  I am trying to figure out what I want to paint on each item.  I think that is the hard part, but once I start painting it all seems to come together!

Google Friend Connect and New Painting Projects

Hi I was checking out some of the blogs I follow and I read about Google Friend Connect ending.  I use Google Friend Connect on this blog and I follow others using it.  I cannot explain very well so here is a link explaining about what is happening with Google Connect and some new options.  I signed up for Linky which is located right above my Google Friend Connect so my friends can start switching over.  Here is the link Online Business Junction Tina from Online Business Junction always has tons of helpful information for your business, blog, etc.  Please take a minute to check it out.

In other news I have been working on all kinds of things!!  I started taking a new class, I will tell you all about that soon!  I also have been back to painting!  I painted some cupboard doors, and old silverware boxes.  I have some before and after pics.  My SIL has been going to auctions, etc to find old furniture to re-finish and she came across these silverware boxes.  I have started painting them and the cupboard doors, and I will re-post when they are all finished!

Burlap and Pillows

Hi!  I have finally been doing some crafting.  It's good to get back to work.  I took down all my Christmas decorations and everything looks so bare.  You would think with all the crafts I make my house would be well decorated, unfortunately that's not the way it is!!  I need to change that though.
This is what I made this week.  My SIL is getting into a new shop in Hagerstown, Md.  She refinishes furniture and asked if I would want to make some pillows to go in the shop too.  I have been seeing a lot of things being made with burlap so I made some pillows with osnaburg, muslin and burlap.  I made my own stencils with my vinyl cutter and then stenciled the words onto the fabric.  I would like to make some for my shows later this year.  My next project is to start working on some heart pillows, etc.

I am also starting to take some classes to learn how to do some amazing art with my Photoshop program.  I can't wait to show you what I do.... that is if I'm able to learn how!!
Have a great weekend!!
